Down Home

The date on this slide says "December 1979"

The place is the "lemonade spring" in the deep woods of my Dads boyhood home in Tompkinsville Kentucky.

Dad said the spring got the name "lemonade" because on a hot day it was cooler and more refreshing than a glass of cold lemonade.

We had a fun time visiting places our Dad had told us stories of.

Dad loved this photo and quickly shared a story about uncle ike getting stuck on that hill above the sprin when he was little - and how his brothers loved hearing him cry when they told him they were going to leave him there. Ike may have more reasons to get even with brothers in photos. Way to go IKE!
