It is 1975 and I am not exactly sure where we are. I know we rode a train in Metamora once. We played with the locks on a canal and rode a train there. So I am guessing this is Metamora.
Meghan you are right. These slides held color amazingly well. There is something to be said about real cameras with real film. I will say don't toss the old cameras away because they will come back.
My Dad liked photography as a hobby and his family made for interesting subjects to capture on film or should I say slides.
There aren't many pictures with him in them so I titled this blog "What my Dad saw".
The rear view mirror header I think summes it up well. I remember Dad saying "I am gonna take a picture of what I see every time I look in the mirror".

Yep, that was at Metamora.
That photo is wonderful. I love the colors. I know that folks are trying to make new photos look like mid-70s, but it's just not the same.
