Dad and I agree that the location is The Hermitage - President Andrew Jackson's home.
The thing we remember most about that day is losing Chad. I thought Dad had taken him to the restroom and Dad thought I had taken him with me. We met in the gift shop and neither of us had him. We could not find him anywhere. It seemed like forever went by searching for him and then we saw an older guy coming out of the parking lot with Chad on his shoulders! He had found him by our car. We could not believe he had found our car in the crowded parking area and were so thankful for the good guy that found him and brought him back to us. We didn't even consider he would have ventured out into the parked cars. He wasn't very verbal at the age he was - so it was definitely God that arranged our reunion. Chad, Chad, Chad! is right!
My Dad liked photography as a hobby and his family made for interesting subjects to capture on film or should I say slides.
There aren't many pictures with him in them so I titled this blog "What my Dad saw".
The rear view mirror header I think summes it up well. I remember Dad saying "I am gonna take a picture of what I see every time I look in the mirror".
This is my families history, thanks for coming and enjoy.
