I noticed that Brett is wearing a Calico Frog Shirt.
I wonder what the key is for that is under the cake?

The Calico Frog

This is my Mom inside of the Calico Frog.

The Calico Frog was a store that she owned for quite a few years while I was growing up.

Can you guess what decade it was? Macrame, paisley and antique green are a few clues.

The slide up above was taken in 1975 where the store was first located.

This slide was taken in 1977 and it is of the stained glass window that was on the front door of the stores second location.

The doors were hand made with wrought Iron door handles and hinges.
Very cool.

This was the first home for Mom's store the "Calico Frog".

This shopping center is still active in Nashville.

Calico Frog

Mom in her store the Calico Frog. Which was a store she owned in Nashville Indiana.

I Googled "Calico Frog" to see if anything would come up and to my surprise it did.

Seems there is a store in Middlebury, Indiana called Calico Frog. Sounds like it is a scrap booking store and no way near as cool as Mom's store.

I remember it well though. Macramé, spoon rings, the stuffed Olive, rocks in chocolate chip ice cream, no wrinkled crinkled waded up dollar bills, tax charts, if we didn't see you steal it God did, pet rocks, Rita, Jim Gerard show, water fountains, and toll painting.
