Sledding

Sledding

This is one of my favorite memories of sledding when I was a kid.

We have great memories from Uncle George's huge hill but this run was by our house.

Brett, Chad and I worked hard and made a great launching spot and ramps.
We didn't have any long or big hills so we would put jumps in and work the track until the runs were just perfect.

I know we broke some world records that week for distance jumped on a saucer sled.

Fun times.

Happy Birthday Brett

Candles

Happy birthday Brett.

I noticed that Brett is wearing a Calico Frog Shirt.
I wonder what the key is for that is under the cake?

Brett's first birthday.
That is cousin Rhonda standing next to Brett.

I see cousin Danny, Rhonda and the back of my head in this one.

Cousin Karen is in this one but I can't name the boy standing beside her.

Spock

My family and I have the pleasure of hosting Spock as part of his Spockation across the country tour.
Fellow blogger, Chunky B of Eclectorama, keeps us up to date on Spock, his whereabouts and adventures across the nation.
Here is the chronicle of his stop with us. Link
I had hoped to do more with Spock when he came but we pretty much just celebrated Thanksgiving all week when he was with us.
Thanks for letting us host him Chunky B!

I saw Brett the other day and he said he had just been to his Doctor for his 25 year check up for his "Knee" surgery.

Time flies.

More Evidence

Robo-Brett

This Brett when he was a quarterback for Wabash College.
If you look closely you can see glints of his metal frame when the light hits him just right.

Bionic Brett

Bolder

I remember the time a boulder fell on Chad and then Brett had to lift it off of him.
Everyone at school thought Brett had injured his knee in a football game but Dad had his skeleton replaced with bionics.
Came in handy that day.

Dad's are smart.

Bang!

Bang

When we played Batman I was always Batman and Brett was Robin.
But when we played The Lone Ranger Brett was the Lone Ranger and I was Tonto.
I think I tricked him into this arrangement because I always thought Indians were cooler and I had a cool rubber knife I liked to hang from my belt.
