Flying a kite at Uncle George's in 1972.
It was a Jolly Green Giant kite.
If you saved enough labels and sent them in, the company sent you a kite.
We had a couple Sprout figures that were stuffed too. They didn't fly though.
I remember these kites seemed huge and flew really well.
Looks like I am more interested in a stick than flying a kite.
Brett seems to have the flying under control.

Wow that brings back memories! I had the same 5 point kite with the Green Giant flying. It did fly great. After it got as high as it could go I let my brother fly it while I rode my bike to the corner store to get more string. It went really high and we'd leave it up till we had to go in the house for bedtime.

I had one as a kid. "Flew well" is an understatement. I hooked mine to a spinner reel and sent it up so high I could barely see it. I remember my friends and I musing about how we might get in trouble if a plane ran into it!
